Thirty-five new trees planted along the Tule River Parkway in Porterville California.
Saturday March 14, 2026 Tule River Parkway Association board members and a crew of eight from the Cesar Chavez Environmental Corps planted Valley Oaks along the Tule River Parkway. The Corps members planted twenty-five fifteen-gallon size Valley Oaks between Jaye and Main Street along the parkway. The TRPA board members planted ten one-gallon size Valley Oaks in selected sections of the parkway. The Corps members also built a gabion construction bench along the parkway between Jaye and Main Street. Tule River Parkway Association is excited to partner with the CCEC for this shade tree planting project. These thirty-five trees will be monitored and maintained by the Tule River Parkway Association. Irrigation parts, installation, and water supply for the young trees are provided by the City of Porterville. The Tule River Parkway is a City of Porterville public park which is open year-round.
