What is the Tule River Parkway?

The Tule River Parkway is a public park in the City of Porterville. It includes a paved pedestrian and bicycle path that runs along the south bank of the Tule River from Hwy 65 to Main Street. The Parkway is home to over thirty distinct garden areas featuring native California plants. The gardens are maintained by volunteer garden adopters and other Tule River Parkway Association volunteers. The Tule River Parkway Association is a local non-profit group. Our purpose is to advocate for protection of the river habitat and public access to the river corridor.
